Privacy
The responsible party is the editorial team, reached through the contact lines shown on the site. Those lines are correspondence details. They do not create a company, a licence, or proof that a desk operates at the street named below.
-
Where a request goes
Email info@vellumcharts.com. Phone 0491 570 243. Correspondence line: Level 4, 9 Hub Arcade, Hobart TAS 7000, Australia. Use them to write to the editorial team. Do not read them as a filed business address.
-
The form file
The desk form asks for a name, an email, an optional subject and a message. A hidden field, if it contains anything, causes the note to be discarded. When a submission passes the checks and the server write returns a real byte count, those four values are appended to a guarded file with a UTC timestamp.
-
Keys in this browser
Closing the course notice stores eduNoticeAck so the dialog stays shut. Accepting or declining the banner stores cookieConsent. The site does not set an analytics cookie or an advertising cookie.
-
Why the file exists
The file exists so the editorial team can read and answer a note a visitor chose to send. The basis is that the visitor submitted the form. Automatic data is limited to what the host needs to receive that POST.
-
Who else sees it
The editorial team reads the file. A hosting provider may process the server that holds it, only so the site can stay online. No advertising network and no analytics vendor is engaged by these pages.
-
How long it is kept
Form records are kept for up to 12 months, then removed. The two browser keys remain until the visitor clears site data for this domain.
-
What a person can ask
A person can ask what the file holds about them, ask for a correction, or ask for deletion, by emailing the address above. The team will respond using the same contact lines.
-
Transfers
The pages do not sell personal information and do not send the form file to a marketing list. If the host stores data outside Australia, that is a feature of the hosting account, not a separate product of this course.

A complaint
Privacy complaints in Australia can be taken to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner: oaic.gov.au.
